JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — RELATED: Jacksonville teacher accused of being drunk in classroom speaks out
A Duval County Public Schools teacher is under investigation after being accused of showing up to work drunk.
Sources told Action News Jax it happened at Robert E. Lee High School.
Action News Jax’s Larry Spruill has been communicating with the school district about this case for the last 24 hours. While they won't confirm the teacher's name, they said they are investigating a complaint of intoxicated teacher at Lee High School.

Several sources said this teacher was inside the classroom two weeks ago, teaching students while drunk.
We contacted the school district and they said they are aware of a teacher showing up to work drunk, but the district wouldn't confirm the teacher’s name.
We spoke with one student. We're not revealing her identity, but she said this has happened with this teacher more than once.

“A lot of students were saying that he showed up to class drunk a few times, and he never had a lesson planned for them, like they would come to class and they would never do nothing. He never had nothing for them to do. They basically got free A's,” the student said.
We obtained the personnel file for the teacher our sources said is the name of the teacher under investigation. This teacher has received poor standings three years in a row..
