NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — An 11-year-old boy fabricated a story about an attempted abduction in Nassau County, authorities said.
The boy said Wednesday that someone tried to kidnap him as he walked to his bus stop in Fernandina Beach. However, the boy said on Thursday that he made the story up.
It is not known why the child lied.
It's unknown if the child will face any charges.
