Several kilos of cocaine were found on two JetBlue planes that were brought to Lake City for maintenance last week.
Columbia County Sheriff's Office said maintenance workers found almost a kilo of cocaine on one plane on July 20 then two more kilos on July 24.
The employees at Haeco, a company that refurbishes planes, found the cocaine in the wall of a luggage compartment below the right wing.
The company turned it over to deputies, who are working with DEA and FAA on the investigation.
Deputies said one plane had flown from Dominican Republic to JFK in New York.
The most recent itinerary of the second plane is not know.
JetBlue said because the matter is part of an ongoing investigation, questions should be directed to local law enforcement.
