A local chef competed on a famous Food Network chef's show and came away victorious.
DeJuan Roy, the executive chef at Alhambra Theatre & Dining, competed in Guy Fieri's Grocery Games and was the last chef standing after he made a creative dish out of canned ham in the last round.
"You made canned ham sexy!" Fieri told Chef Roy in the final round.
Chef Roy was cheered on by Alhambra co-workers and patrons during a watch party at Odyssey Bar & Grill in Arlington on Sunday night.
After winning the final round, Roy got to compete in the Super Shopping Spree at the end of the show and won $16,000.
"I just really want to show my kids that you can aspire to do great things and daddy's bringing home the money," Chef Roy said on the show.
