You can be a VIP at Wawa groundbreaking events in Jacksonville, Clay County

Pennsylvania-based convenience store and gas station Wawa is inviting people to apply to be VIPs at its April 6 groundbreaking events in Northeast Florida.

Wawa is known for serving hoagies, freshly brewed coffee and soups, sides and snacks. Customers can customize their order at touch-screen kiosks inside the store, then pick up their meal or drink from the counter. Ready-made food is also available in Wawa stores.

The first "Family Reunion Groundbreaking Ceremony" will be held at 10 a.m. at the location at Gate and Town Center parkways in Jacksonville and the second will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Blanding Boulevard and Filmore Street location in Orange Park.

Wawa said on its website that groundbreaking "attendees will get a chance to join other special guests, sample Wawa favorites, receive cool giveaways, and enjoy an up-close look at the site of their future Wawa."
