Body of missing 63-year-old boater found near South Brunswick River

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — The body of a 63-year-old man who was reported missing near Blythe Island was found Wednesday morning, officials said.

Charles Johnson left for a fishing trip on June 3. U.S. Coast Guard and Georgia Department of Natural Resources began searching for Johnson Saturday afternoon when his wife reported him missing.

Georgia Department of Natural Resources said his body was found in the marsh near South Brunswick River.
