CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: Roadways have reopened.
There is a serious crash near the Clay County Fairgrounds on State Road 16, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
The crashed happened after a man ran a stop sign at Spring Park Road and a second vehicle containing two women hit him from the side, according to FHP. This caused the second vehicle to overturn and catch fire.

All three people were transported to Orange Park Medical Center. The man is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Office asks that drivers use an alternative route if possible, as delays in the area are expected.
