Clerk faints during armed robbery at Jacksonville internet cafe

Jacksonville officers are searching for a man who robbed an internet cafe at gunpoint and took a clerk's purse after she fainted, police said.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officials said a man knocked on the door at Fun Spot on San Juan Avenue at 5:26 p.m. on Tuesday.

The clerk came to the door, and the suspect asked if he could play games inside, officers said.

He came inside and pulled out a black handgun, pointed it at the clerk and pushed her toward the cash register, officers said.

Officers said the clerk fainted, and the man took money from the cash register. He also took the clerk’s purse then fled.

Officers said he was last seen jumping a fence north of the business.
