JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — 7:30 a.m. update: All lanes on I-295 North at Duval Road have reopened following a semi truck fire.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old local truck driver was driving northbound on I-295 and pulled over in the shoulder.
Trooper said the semi’s trailer “became engulfed in flames.”

Drivers in Northwest Jacksonville can expect delays following a semi truck fire on I-295.
Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the fire on I-295 North at Duval Road at 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
Heavy fire could be seen coming from the semi’s trailer where food products are stored.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out but the situation has all northbound lanes blocked, leaving traffic at a standstill.
Action News Jax Traffic Anchor Marithza Ross suggests drivers take I-95 as an alternate route.
There are no reported injuries.
