Update: Troopers say a 36-year-old Orange Park woman is dead following a crash early Tuesday morning.
The woman's identity has not been released pending next of kin notification.
FHP said she was driving a Toyota Sequoia eastbound on I-10 near Chaffee Road, when she lost control and collided with a guardrail. The SUV reportedly went though the guardrail to the westbound side of traffic and began to flip, ejecting the driver.
The woman was then hit by a tractor trailer, troopers stated.
One person is dead following a crash early Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers were called out to I-10 westbound and Chaffee Road S. at 2:45 a.m.
Officials said the single occupant of the crashed SUV died.
All westbound lanes are currently closed.
FHP will be rerouting westbound traffic near the Publix warehouse to go back east.
Drivers are asked to use the Hammond exit and head north to Beaver/ U.S. 90 or south to Crystal Springs Road.
