Jacksonville, Fla. — Two people were shot Saturday after a fight broke out in a Jacksonville neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded to a call about the brawl at 1:45 p.m. at Belfort Road and Dickie Drive in the Brackridge neighborhood.
The fight escalated into a shooting and witnesses told police that the people involved in the fight had left before officers arrived to the scene.

Witnesses said they saw several men assaulting another man in a resident's front yard. They said the suspects fled the area while the injured man and woman got into a car.
Witnesses told police a third vehicle drove up and fired several rounds into the victims' vehicle. The suspects drove off north on Belfort Road.
Police said they received another call at 4:04 p.m. from St. Vincent's Hospital about a woman who drove a man to the emergency room.
The man has life-threatening injuries while the woman has non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
