Former Jacksonville sheriff John Rutherford and Al Lawson have been elected to Congress.
Rutherford is a Republican who served as sheriff in Duval County before Sheriff Mike Williams.

He beat Democrat David Bruderly and Independent Gary Koniz in the race for Ander Crenshaw's District 4 seat.
Rutherford beat six other republicans for the nomination in August.

He said he plans to fight for our military veterans and homeland security.
Al Lawson is a Democrat who beat Glo Smith (R) for Corrine Brown's seat.
Brown was ousted in the August primary.
