Four injured in shootings miles apart in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Four people were injured in two shootings Sunday night a few miles apart in Jacksonville.

A 17-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and a woman were shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting around 9:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of Robert Street, which is a block north of Kings Road.

Officers said the victims were standing in a yard when a vehicle drove by and a suspect or suspects fired.

The victims were taken to UF Health Jacksonville.

An hour later, officers got a call about a shooting on 9th and North Myrtle streets, which is three miles from the reported drive-by shooting.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office found a 14-year-old boy shot in the leg. He was taken to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment.

Officers said none of the victims had life-threatening injuries.

Officers said they are not sure if the two shootings are related.

There is no suspect information on either shooting.
