Deputies have secured the area and will work to recover the remains Monday morning after the sun rises.

Deputies were searching for a 79-year-old man in the area in August.

Many areas of the state forest were closed as helicopters, K9 units and deputies on foot and 4-wheelers searched for Hal Warth.

His son reported him missing after he could not find him at his home on Skulley Hill Road.
