Storm surge between 3 to 5 feet and heavy rainfall caused major flooding.
Wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour ripped off roofs and walls of buildings.

Jacksonville saw several feet of floodwater. Riverside, San Marco and downtown Jacksonville saw historic flooding as streets filled with water.

St. Johns County
St. Johns County beaches saw devastating storm surge that compromised the structures of several homes.
Before Irma even neared St. Augustine, water breached the sea wall in downtown. Feet of water flooded the streets.
Condos in Crescent Beach were severely damaged, with roofs and walls missing from units after strong winds in the area.
