Jacksonville firefighters rescue newborn ducklings from storm drain

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville community is saying thank you to some local firefighters for saving some lives Friday morning.

Residents said the ducklings’ mother was guarding the drain.

The newborn ducks were stuck in the storm drain in the Sutton Lakes community in Sandalwood.

Two Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department firefighters jumped into action and rescued the newborn ducks.

The firefighters were able to safely release the ducks after rescuing them from the storm drain.

Whitney Pierce, a member of the Sutton Lakes community, said the community is thankful to the firefighters for saving the ducks.
