Officers are searching for a man who hit a 66-year-old woman in the face at a gas station in Jacksonville, officials said.
Police said the man got into a fight with the woman's son at Texaco on Philips Highway on Sept. 11.
The suspect took a swing at the man and missed, striking the woman in the face.
She fell onto the concrete and suffered a serious head injury. She was unconscious and bleeding from her head and nose. She is currently in critical condition, officials said.
Police released photos of the suspect that a witness captured on a cellphone.
Officials with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are asking anyone who has information about the man's identity or location to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
