A Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer has been terminated after being arrested on a battery charge.
Undersheriff Pat Ivey said Akinyemi A. Borisade is accused of hitting a handcuffed female.
Ivey said there is video of Borisade striking and kicking a woman in handcuffs.
Last night, JSO responded to Scores Bar and arrested a first-day female employee. After a 31-year-old female was arrested and handcuffed, Borisade reportedly inflicted multiple "hand strikes" on her.
Borisade was hired in March 2015 and has had no other incidents since that time. Ivey said Borisade will have the opportunity to clear his name at a "name clearing" hearing.
