Hundreds of people filled the downtown area Saturday for the annual tradition of painting of Jaguars paw prints on Bay Street.
Seventy additional paw prints were added to lead the way from downtown Jacksonville to EverBank Field.
The family-friendly event marks the kickoff of the Jaguars football season.
Action News Jax was there when Mayor Lenny Curry and Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce CEO Daniel Davis, along with their families, painted the first paw on Bay Street.
Hundreds of kids and adults were in teal, gold and black took to Bay Street to paint 332 other paw prints.
“The spirit of the Jaguars’ season jumped on me and I’m just so excited to walk down and see my paw, which is the one over there, and I did a pretty good job. I can’t wait for the season to get started,” fan Michellita Taylor said.
Volunteers said the secret to painting the perfect Jacksonville Jaguars paw print is using the right amount of elbow grease and having help from other devoted fans.
