A local motorcyclist says he walked away with only burned leg hair after his bike caught fire on I-295.
Exclusive video shows that charred motorcycle getting towed off I-295 and Commonwealth on the Westside.
Stacey Thompkins says he was tapping his brakes so an emergency vehicle could pass through a construction zone, and that’s when his bike caught fire.
Thompkins says he’s OK, but the incident blocked traffic for an hour.
Thompkins says the most painful part is losing his motorcycle.
