The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has identified a body that was found by a jogger in the back lot of a Westside Jacksonville cemetery.
The Sheriff's Office has identified the man as 23-year-old Jacob Kellner.
The jogger reported finding Kellner’s body at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery just before 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
JSO Sgt. Steve Rudlaff said there is obvious evidence of foul play.
Rudlaff said it’s difficult to say how long Kellner’s body has been there.
“It’s hard to determine, especially with the weather that we’ve had. So we’re still trying to gauge that,” said Rudlaff.
He said the weather also makes it hard to tell whether Kellner was killed at the cemetery or if someone dumped his body there.
Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery leadership told Action News Jax they do not have surveillance video.
