Witnesses tell Action News Jax a man was hurt after trying to do a backflip from a balcony into a pool at a home in the 200 block of 17th Avenue North in Jacksonville Beach.
The man was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach Fire Rescue dispatch said. Friends of the man tell Action News Jax the man landed on his back.
The incident took place around 5 p.m., according to Sgt. Tommy Crumley of the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.
Action News Jax is told by the man's friends that he is expected to be OK.
