NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a couple after a man allegedly stabbed a Target employee while trying to steal a cart full of merchandise from the store.
Deputies said a member of Target's loss prevention team tried to stop the couple from leaving the store in Yulee after they loaded their shopping cart and tried to leave without paying on Monday night.

The Target employee confronted the couple as they tried to walk out and the man took out a knife.
The man stabbed the employee several times, deputies said.

The couple then fled the store. Deputies believe they got into a Chevy S10 pickup with a Georgia license plate ending with 089.
Witnesses told deputies both of the suspects appeared to have sores on their bodies.

Nassau County deputies are warning people not to try to apprehend the suspects.
