Video obtained by Action News Jax shows apparent drug deals going down in the Cedar Hills neighborhood on the Westside.
Neighbors say they're asking for help, but police are slow to take action.
“I've seen drug deals going down personally,” one man living in the area told us.
Action News Jax law and safety expert Dale Carson took a close look at the video, which appears to show a drug deal.
“This should alert the Sheriff’s Office to a potential problem. Clearly something is going on here,” Carson said.
Two men in red shirts can be seen in the video. One of them appears to hand something over and walk away. A little later, one of the men appears to make an exchange with someone in a car.
“As you noticed they’re both wearing red shirts. That can well be a gang sign, something that is important to law enforcement,” Carson said.

The man we talked to said this isn’t new. But he said it’s bigger than just drugs; he’s worried about other criminal activity as well.
“My biggest fear is stray bullets coming through my house hurting one of my children. That's why we doing our best to get out of this neighborhood,” he said.
Carson said video like this could lead to more patrols or a narcotics investigation, something that neighbors hope brings change sooner than later.
“I hear random gun shootings every night and that's not something that nobody needs to hear,” the man said.
Neighbors said they hope others will speak up to help get the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office involved in helping clean up the possible drug activity in their area.
