Officers are on horseback and ATVs in Baldwin during the second day of a large-scale search for a missing St. Johns County priest.
They continue to ask residents to check their properties on Jacksonville's Westside but said they do not need the public's help in search efforts at this time.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and St. Johns County Sheriff's Office began the large-scale search operations on Jacksonville's Westside on Saturday.
They are asking residents and property owners in the I-10/Beaver Street corridor between Baldwin and I-295 to check their property thoroughly, especially in wooded areas and around bodies of water.
You are asked to call police if you see anything that looks suspicious or notice any disturbed ground or unusual smells. Police request you not touch or tamper with anything located.
A search team planned to comb an area on West Beaver Street Sunday, but JSO declined.
JSO said if and when officers need assistance, they'll reach out to the public through news media and on social media outlets.
