LATEST: Jacksonville officer's stolen truck recovered after pursuit

A Jacksonville officer's dog is missing after someone broke into his house and stole his truck, two guns and keys to a patrol car, among other things.

The officer with Jacksonville Sheriff's Office called police after he came home from work and found his back door kicked in around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

He found smeared blood on a door, a large pool of blood on the floor and a shell casing.

His dog was not at the house.

The person who broke in stole the officer's 2010 Toyota Tacoma, two handguns and keys to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office patrol car, according to the report.

Officers have not identified any suspects.
