JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officers are searching for witnesses after a man was found dead in the backyard of a West Jacksonville home on Wednesday.
Officers are getting a search warrant to enter the backyard and said they do not know the identity of the victim or anyone involved in the shooting at this time.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office began investigating the suspicious death in the 1000 block of Westbrook Circle East around 1 p.m. after reports of gunfire in the area.
Officers are asking for the public's help in finding possible suspects.

Police had to/in process of getting a search warrant to go in the backyard. No ID on victim yet.
