PALM COAST, Fla. — An Orange Park man died in a crash Monday morning in Palm Coast.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on Interstate 95 near Matanzas Woods Parkway.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a disabled Mercedes that was stopped without lights on in the outside lane of Interstate 95 south near Matanzas Woods Parkway. A tractor-trailer traveling in the same lane did not see the disabled Mercedes and hit it, overturned and slid through the guardrail, FHP said.
The driver of the Mercedes, 63-year-old Olando Ellis, of Orange Park, died at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
