Officials released a photo of a truck believed to be similar to a suspect's in a fatal road rage shooting that killed a New Jersey truck driver.
The photo from Jacksonville Sheriff's Office shows a truck similar to the 2000-2005 Freightliner Century flattop, sleeper & fairing that a bearded man was driving when he opened fire on another truck driver.
JSO said two semi truck drivers were arguing as they were driving on Interstate 10 near the Cecil Commerce Center Parkway on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect in the orange cab tailgated and bumped into another semi truck after it switched lanes. The suspect then fired a gun at the driver as he drove past him.
Officers said 44-year-old George Guerrero of Perth Amboy, N.J. was found dead in his cab. His family says they are heartbroken — and in complete shock.
“I was so proud of him,” said his cousin, Blanca Clendenin. “He amazed me because so many times, he could have given up on himself, and he never did.”
Anyone who has any information in regards to the identity of this suspect or the location of the pictured vehicle is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
