Three kids who were playing Pokémon Go in Atlantic Beach helped officers catch a burglar on Tuesday.
Atlantic Beach police responded to a burglary in progress on Belvedere Street.
Officers were searching for the suspect when they came across three young people playing Pokemon Go in Howell Park.
The group gave officers a description of the suspect and which direction he ran.
Thanks to the information, officers caught the suspect.
Atlantic Beach police thanked the three young people on Facebook and said, in part:
"It was because of these outstanding citizens who choose to step up and help the community, that our officers were able to catch the suspect as he fled the area on foot."
