UPDATE: Duclay: Search underway for killer in double shooting at Mobil gas station
A Jacksonville man is dead and another is injured after a shooting at a Jacksonville gas station Sunday night, police said.
JSO identified the victim as Christopher Thurston, 20. Thurston died after being taken to Orange Park Medical Center, police said.
The shooting occured at the Mobil gas station on Blanding Boulevard and Duclay Road at about 9 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the shooter waited outside the Mobil after an argument and shot one victim as he left. The other victim, who was inside the store, was also hit. Police are investigating that victim's role in the argument.
Detectives are working to learn how they knew the suspect. JSO is working to confirm the number of shots fired and said there were several witnesses.
One of the victims has non life-threatening injuries.
Police are searching for the shooter, who fled the scene.
