STORY: Man screams 'just shoot me' during Jacksonville traffic stop
A pair of "young" suspects were likely forced to escape through a second-story window when a homeowner pulled a gun during a home invasion on Monday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
A second-story window could be seen broken in the 6300 block of Thumper Road in west Jacksonville.
"They were motivated to get away," JSO's Mike Johnson said.
The suspects forced their way into the home but had to flee when the homeowner shot at them, JSO said. JSO termed the daylight robbery as "very brazen."
At least one of the suspects was wounded and was captured a short distance away at the intersection of Jammes and Harlow.
The suspect was taken to Orange Park Medical Center. The other remains at large, JSO said.
The homeowner doesn't appear to be injured, JSO said.
