SJSO: St. Johns County man arrested after defecating on sidewalk

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — An officer arrested a 51-year-old man after reportedly seeing him with his pants down and defecating on the sidewalk of a St. Augustine apartment complex.

A deputy with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office overheard several Woodland Terrace residents in a verbal argument during patrol on Sunday at about 5:30 p.m. The deputy reportedly saw Derick Sweet with his pants down and defecating on the sidewalk in front of a unit.

Deputies took Sweet into custody and learned he had two active trespass warnings for the apartment complex; one warning was issued in 2008 and another on July 22.

Sweet faces a charge of trespassing and disturbing the peace.
