JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Jacksonville man accused of killing woman, shooting sister due in court
Police tell Action News Jax that a man accused of murdering a Jacksonville woman and hurting her sister is in custody.
Chad Absher, accused of killing Ashlee Rucker and hurting her sister Lisa Rucker in a Tuesday morning shooting, has been taken into custody.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office sent several units to Blanding Boulevard and 118th Street on the Westside.

Sources told Action News Jax earlier Wednesday afternoon that the police activity was related to the search for a local murder suspect.

JSO Public Information Officer Melissa Bujeda said Absher was taken into custody without incident. A neighbor told Action News Jax's Larry Spruill that Absher was hiding under another neighbor's house.

Bujeda said a tip led to Absher's capture and that JSO was overwhelmed with tips on Absher's whereabouts in this case.
"We are glad he's off the streets. He can't victimize anyone else. He can't harm anyone else," Bujeda said.
