ST. AUGUSTINE SHORES, Fla. — A person is dead after a fire at an apartment in St. Augustine Shores Wednesday morning, according to St. Johns County fire and rescue.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office told Action News Jax it received a call for a burning plastic smell.
Crews arrived to the 1800 block of Prestwick Place and found the apartment full of smoke. The State Fire Marshall will conduct an investigation.
