JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An Ed White High School student was arrested Tuesday night after a school threat was posted on social media.
A representative with Duval County Public Schools said the student was arrested after a bomb threat to Ed White High School was posted Tuesday night on social media, according to an arrest report.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Duval County school police immediately investigated the threat and canvassed the school to ensure it was secure, DCPS said.
The student faces expulsion and will also be disciplined according to the code of conduct in addition to criminal charges.
DCPS said parents and guardians were informed of the incident Wednesday morning through an automated call.
