A sixth grade boy was hit and killed in Mayport on Monday morning, officers said.
Florida Highway Patrol said the boy was hit by a car at Wonderwood Dr. and A1A at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the intersection will be blocked as officers investigate.
