JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Teachers said their former student was killed in a shooting that left another teen injured after an argument at a Westside house party early Saturday morning.
Teachers said 19-year-old Jonah Golden was one of two teens shot at a home on Liska Drive.
Sgt. Craig Waldrup of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Golden died at the scene.
The other teen suffered minor injuries. Police and rescue units were called to the home around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a person shot.
Police have not yet identified Golden as the victim but teachers tell us he once attended Atlantic Coast High School.
The other victim, an 18 year-old, was grazed by a bullet and was treated on the scene.
According to Sgt. Waldrup, multiple shots were fired during the incident and multiple guns were discovered at the scene where 40-50 people were attending the house party.
As daylight broke, investigators could be seen searching, tagging and bagging evidence including what appeared to be a magazine clip.
Police say there is no suspect information at this time.
