Firefighters worked a large fire in Jacksonville Wednesday after several cars and a car compactor caught fire.
Action News Jax Anchor Phil Amato was at Larry's 1st Stop Auto Parts on New Kings Road as firefighters worked to put out the flames.
One person was injured in the fire. Phil said he saw a junkyard worker with bandages on both arms.
Smoke plumes could be seen from I-295 near Dunn Avenue.
Officials say only one southbound lane of New Kings Road before Garden Street was open.
