FRED LASTER CASE: Hyde denied bond | Hyde's Facebook posts
Risner saw the body of Fred Laster after it was left near a dumpster in June 1994.
A woman walking her dog discovered the body. She has since passed away.
Risner said the woman who found the body described it as a “Mannequin or something, but looks like a real person.”
Ronnie Hyde, a 60-year-old Jacksonville Beach resident, is the prime suspect in the murder. He was arrested Tuesday and is currently in the Duval County Jail without bond. Police think Hyde murdered Laster and dismembered his body before leaving it in Lake City along I-10.
Risner was the only person on that June day to go near the body.
“It [was] sort of leaned up against the dumpster,” Risner said. “No arms. No legs. No head.”
Risner says the dumpster where Laster’s body was found was removed several years later.
