A Ponte Vedra woman is facing several charges after a series of hit-and-run crashes with two children in the car.
The incidents happened in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia on Thursday afternoon.
Brandy Stroud Gleaton, 33, was taken into custody by the Georgia State Patrol in Camden County.
Gleaton is charged with DUI and child endangerment because she was driving with two children in her vehicle. Other charges against her in Florida are pending.
The Florida Highway Patrol said it appears eight vehicles were involved in the hit-and-run crashes in Florida and possibly two in Georgia, one being a Camden County deputy's patrol car.
The Florida Highway Patrol started receiving calls around 3:30 p.m. about the hit-and-runs. Florida troopers were unable to locate Gleaton's 2007 GMC Yukon, but Georgia troopers and Camden County Sheriff's Office deputies spotted it after the vehicle crossed into Georgia.
Gleaton was taken into custody at mile marker 7, near Woodbine.
