"I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I'm going to bring that vibe and energy," Keys said in a statement. "I'm so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and, magic. I'm especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year!"

Keys also made the announcement in a more personal way in the form of a nine-minute YouTube video. Clips also show Keys doing a promotional shoot for the event, posing with her 15 awards.

Variety reported that the homemade video shows Keys getting news of the hosting gig while in the studio and telling her friends, family, and others the news.

“Honestly, I’m really excited,” Keys said at the end of the video. “I feel really good about it because I feel like it’s the perfect opportunity for me to give the light back and lift people up, especially all the young women that are nominated. Like, to me, it feels like sister vibes.”

The Grammys air Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. EST. It will be live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
