JOPLIN, Mo. — A Missouri couple was arrested and is facing felony charges after deputies say they were riding home naked on a stolen lawn mower Tuesday morning.
Jasper County sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a nude man driving an orange lawn mower with a naked woman in his lap, according to The Smoking Gun.
Tanya Hopper, 40, and Larry Webster, 55, admitted to the naked mower ride during questioning, according to The Smoking Gun.
But they said they were naked because they had been skinny-dipping when their clothes were stolen by someone in the woods.
Rather than walk home naked, the couple said they found a mower in the woods.
The owner of the mower said it had been on his property, and was not abandoned.
Hopper and Webster were charged with felony stealing, according to The Smoking Gun.
