July 3, 2017 — Tracking an active tropical wave - 94L - over the Eastern Atlantic. For the second time in just 2 weeks, we have an unseasonably early African wave that has the potential to develop. The first was "Bret". '94L' will continue west/northwest gradually gaining latitude. Early indications are for a recurve to the east of Florida about the middle of next week, but it's still very early on what will likely become "Don". The GFS model has had a tendency to be the strongest &, therefore, indicating earlier recurvature while some other long range global models show a weaker/more shallow system that could get farther west.
