Beach volleyball tournament returns to Jax Beach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Saturday and Sunday at Jacksonville Beach,2nd Ave N, AVP America is hosting a beach volleyball tournament for players of all ages and divisions.

This event comes just a month after a local Jacksonville beach volleyball club, High Performance Athletes, made headlines with the most successful juniors beach volleyball club in the Nation. All within 15 months of having their first practice!

This July they took 2 teams of 2 to the USAV/AVP Beach Club Championship in Ft. Lauderdale. Their teams earned a gold medal in the 12U division, Karsyn Smith 12 and Sophia Pazhaniswamy 12, and a silver medal in the 14U division, Ashton Kirton 14 and Skye Douglass 13!

Many clubs sent many more teams to compete but with only 2 teams and their elite performance they were able to secure the Inaugural Gold Cup.
