TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Bradford County man is $1 million richer after claiming the big winnings off a scratch-off ticket.

Brandon Trinckes, 24, of Hampton, claimed the million-dollar prize after hitting it big on the $5,000,000 CRASHWORD scratch-off game. He chose to receive his winnings at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $780,000.
Trinckes purchased his winning ticket from the MJM Food Store, located at 10270 US Highway 301 South in Hampton. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning scratch-off.

$5,000,000 CASHWORD is a $20 game that launched in May 2020. It features eight top prizes of $5 million and 24 second tier prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.91.
