ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The 12th Annual Clays for a Cause, hosted by MasterCraft Builder Group, continues to redefine what a charity sporting clay event can accomplish. Held on December 5th at Saltwaters Shooting Club in St. Augustine, the event raised an astounding $360,000 for 15 Northeast Florida nonprofits, pushing the total funds raised over its 12-year history to more than $1.85 million.
The event brought together local construction professionals, community members, and supporters for a day of camaraderie, clay shooting, and philanthropy. Action News Jax’s Marithza Ross, a board member of Villages of Hope, attended the event alongside co-founder Donna Fenchel. Fenchel expressed, “We are profoundly grateful for the overwhelming support. This generosity truly creates a lasting impact on the women we serve and helps us continue making a difference in our community.”
A $50,000 donation was gifted to the St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) to help build an Independent Living Village for youth aging out of foster care, a dream project that is finally becoming a reality.
