Jacksonville, Fla. — There may not be baseball this year in Jacksonville, but that’s not stopping the Jumbo Shrimp from putting on affordable family events.

Usually, there would be over 11,000 people in the stands, but due to the pandemic, they only allowed 1200 in.

Instead of a baseball game, the Jumbo Shrimp played the movie Sandlot on the big screen and spaced everyone out to follow social distancing guidelines.

It’s creative events like these that the franchise is putting all their focus into now since their season was canceled.

It’s a way to still utilize the ballpark and raise some funds to help get them through.
