CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Human remains were found in Jennings State Forest over the weekend.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office said the remains found by hunters Sunday are human.

The Medical Examiners Office will work to identify the body, deputies said.

CCSO Lt. Jason Bennett couldn’t say a lot as it is early in the investigation. But, he did tell Action News Jax that the remains appear to be a full skeleton, mostly intact. He could not say if foul play is suspected or if the remains appear to have been moved to the location.

No other information about the body has been released.
