Man charged with murder in 2023 Jacksonville Heights shooting death of woman found in car

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville police arrested a man they said is responsible for the death of a 22-year-old woman on Sept. 14, 2023. A bystander found Natalie Ann Acevedo shot to death in a car in the 6200 block of Old Middleburg Road South.

Investigators identified Anthony Gutierrez, 23, as a suspect, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office news release. On Tuesday, Gutierrez, who was already in jail on unrelated charges, was arrested for Acevedo’s killing, the news release states. According to jail records, Gutierrez was previously in custody on weapons and drug charges.
